Portraits and figures are my absolute favorite subjects to paint.  And in this case, paint, with acrylic.  In the faces I paint, I see so many planes of colors and light.  I could get lost in someone's facial features.  Using a stroke of paint,  to define shape and light, assists in forming the figure of my subject.
